QUAILO III

Quailo III was commissioned in 1971 as an offshore racer by former RORC Commodore and Admiral, T.D. Parr. She came second in the 1971 Fastnet Race. She missed selection for the GBR Admiral's Cup team that year, but came first in IRC 1. In 1973, she was part of the GBR Admiral's Cup team (which was won by Germany) and also the Southern Cross team (which Great Britain won).

She then went into service as a training boat with the Joint Adventurous Sail Training Center based in Gosport. One of 9 Camper and Nicholson 55's own by the services, she was renamed British Soldier, and then Broadsword.

Now back in civilian ownership, she is campaigning as an offshore racer once again!
