I sailed for over 40 years, A circum navigation, 11 transatlantic crossing, cruising and racing. Won the transatlantic Race Lorient-St Pierre et Miquelon -Lorient On the Maxi Yacht Marlboro (Ex UBS Switzerland) with Pierre Felhman as skipper. Worked as sailmaker, rigger, sales director of Selden France for 14 years. Now working again as a Professional skipper.

I am from Saint-Malo in Brittany. I've been sailing since I was very young. I've taken part in numerous races, including the Course Croisière EDHEC and the Challenge Spi Dauphine. I'm a member of the Yacht Club de Saint-Briac (YCSB) and every year I take part in the regattas organised by the YCSB. I was crew member with sailors like Bernard Gallay and Xavier Lecoeur. Bernard has the following list of achievements: - 2005: 14th out of 72 in the Transat 6.50 on Bahia Express. - 2001 :8th out of 25 in the Vendée Globe on Voila.fr and 5th in the Transat Jacques-Vabre with Kito de Pavant - 1995: 27th out of 52 in the Solitaire du Figaro - 1989: 10th out of 26 in the Solitaire du Figaro - 1986-1987: Semi-final in the Louis Vuitton Cup - 1986: 4th in the Twostar with Robin Knox-Johnston on British Airways Xavier has the following list of achievements: - 1997: 1st Brittany Cup 1997 and 1st Round Britain Championship - 1998: 1st Atlantic Trophy - 2000: 1st in the 2000 Québec - St Malo transatlantic race in a 60-foot boat - 2003: 1st Primo Cup in a MUMM 30, 1st Massilia mono cup in MUMM 30, 1st in the Tour de France à la voile - 2004: 1st in the Spi Ouest France in a 747 One Design - 2005; Winner of the Spi Ouest France in a 747 One Design, Winner of the French 747 One Design Championship and Winner of the French Federal Cruising Championship - 2006: 1st in the Banana's Cup in Dieppe I've always dreamt of taking part in the Fastnet Race since childhood, I am very excited of taking part in the Fastnet Race this year, which is a very special year: the 100th anniversary of one of the world's oldest and most famous offshore yachting race.

Offshore racing represents less than a third of my sailing experience during these last twenty years. Last offshore racing experience : the Armen Race in May 2024 on the Volvo 60 Libertalia (2nd in real time).
Aucune expérience de la course, si ce n’est une douzaine de régates sur un Dufour 36, bien éloigné de l’Albatros :) Comme c’est en Mer que je suis le mieux sur Terre, j’ai bien l’intention de profiter de cette Fastnet :)
One Life, live it ! Naviguant depuis mon enfance, j’ai suivi la filière classique des dériveurs. Au milieu des années 80, je suis passé sur quillard avec un Archambault Suspens 30’ sur la Lac Léman. Régates à la clé, pratiquement tous les mois avec la Société Nautique Rolloise. Les années 2000 ont plus été consacrées au moteur et à la plongée sous-marine. Depuis 2021, retour à la voile classique avec pour objectif d’être en complète autonomie avec l’obtention du Swiss Certificate for Ocean Yachting. Théorie réussie en 2021, validation des 1000 milles en mer en cours. Diverses croisières aux Antilles et Méditerrannée depuis 2022.
